26日は色々あって、結局面倒なので、最後の金融政策スタンスだけ見る。

4. Monetary policy stance

The MPC noted that inflation is likely to remain close to the upper end of the target range over the forecast period, and is of the view that the risks to this outlook are fairly evenly balanced. Electricity price increases pose the biggest upside risk, counteracted by the weak state of domestic demand. Against this background the MPC has decided to keep the repurchase rate unchanged at 7,0 per cent per annum. (金融政策委員会は物価上昇率について、予想される期間中は物価目標範囲の上限に近いところに止まり続けると見ており、この見通しに関するリスクは均衡的に適正にバランスが取れていると判断する。電力価格の上昇は最も大きな物価上昇リスクであり、国内需要の弱い状態に(物価について)反作用している。この様な背景に対して、金融政策委員会は政策金利を年率7.0％で据え置くことを決定した。)

インフレに関して、電力会社の電力引き上げが問題のようだ。エスコムという会社は、南アフリカの95％の電力、アフリカの45％の電力を供給しているという。

この少し古いニュースを見ると、エスコムは3年後との電力料金見直しで、45％引き上げるところを35％に留めると言っているようだが、この影響で物価上昇率が0.3％押し上げられると言う。その代わり、GDP成長率は1.5％押し下げられるという。また、その下のニュースを見ると、意見募集を1月中に行い、2月の24日に電力料金を決定するという。英語の理解が間違っていなければ。南アは短期的には電力料金に注意と言うことか。
