Brasilia ? Assessing the macroeconomic outlook and the prospects for inflation, the Copom unanimously decided to maintain the Selic rate at 8.75 percent, without bias. The Committee will monitor the evolution of the macroeconomic scenario until its next meeting, in order to define the next steps of its monetary policy strategy. The January Copom Minutes will be released in Portuguese next Thursday, February 4.(ブラジリア-経済見通しやインフレ見通しを精査し、政策委員会は満場一致で(政策金利の)セリック金利を8.75％にバイアス無しで据え置くことを決定した。委員会は金融政策方針の次のステップを明確にするため、次回の会合までマクロ経済の状況の展開を観察する。1月の政策委員会の議事録はポルトガル語で2月4日木曜日に発表。)

次回の政策委員会は3月16～17日(17日に政策金利発表)だが、利上げはまだ先だろう。インフレターゲットの目標中心値は4.5％で、CPIは09年12月に前年比+4.31％と、ブラジルにしては(?)落ち着いている。
