カナダの金融政策が発表された。政策金利は0.25％で据え置き。

ここで発表された経済見通しと政策金利の据え置き期間については

「Canada's economic recovery is expected to evolve largely as anticipated in the October MPR, with the economy returning to full capacity and inflation to the 2 per cent target in the third quarter of 2011. The Bank projects that the economy will grow by 2.9 per cent in 2010 and 3.5 per cent in 2011, after contracting by 2.5 per cent in 2009.」(カナダの景気回復は10月の金融政策リポートで予想した方向に大まかに進んでおり、その予想は、経済がフル操業に戻り、物価が2％の目標に戻るのが2011年の第3四半期というものだ。カナダ銀行の見通しは、経済成長が2009年の-2.5％に続いて2010年が2.9％、2011年が3.5％である。)

「Conditional on the outlook for inflation, the target overnight rate can be expected to remain at its current level until the end of the second quarter of 2010 in order to achieve the inflation target.」(物価展望の状況を見れば、物価目標を達成するために、目標とする翌日物金利を2010年の下半期の終わりまで現在の水準に維持することが予想される。)

と述べている。後段の文章は前回そのまま。

その他、為替については「persistent strength of the Canadian dollar that could act as a significant further drag on growth and put additional downward pressure on inflation.」(粘り強いカナダドル高は、追加的に更に経済成長を引きずる作用をもたらす一方、物価上昇を追加的にした押しするものとなり得る)と、通貨高を牽制。

それ以外は特にサプライズ無し。
